Northern Solar achieved a notable feat by skillfully designing, installing, and commissioning a 40KWp Solar PV system on the rooftop of a residential apartment block for the group. This undertaking involved a critical challenge: optimizing space on the roof while preserving its weatherproof integrity. To address this, we opted for a non-penetrating ballasted aluminium framework system. The framework was strategically mounted at a 10° inclination to maximize the system's energy generation potential.

 The electricity generated is 31,000 KWhs per year that will be fed into the flats and therefore reduce the building’s overall electrical expenditure.

The FIT’s tariff for this system is guaranteed for 20 years and is index linked
so will increase.

It offers a return of £9216.00 per annum.
